Sol de Janeiro

Assistant Art Director / Graphic Designer

At Sol de Janeiro, I worked as an Assistant Art Director, helping translate the brand’s playful, sun-soaked identity into both internal and external creative. My role spanned concept development, pitch decks, and packaging — from building investor and brand rep presentations to designing print inserts and moodboards that set the stage for new product launches. Every deliverable was crafted to capture the brand’s vibrant aesthetic while supporting its rapid growth.

Print & Packaging

Most known for their hero product ‘Bum Bum Cream’ I worked as in-house Assistant Art Director with Sol de Janeiro to create a variety of print designs

I designed print package inserts for high-profile business moments, including the Chelsea Film Festival and eCommerce purchases, extending Sol de Janeiro’s brand personality into tactile experiences for customers and partners.

Ecommerce Package Sticker Packs—Inspired by Sol's signature travel-inspired aesthetic, I created a bespoke sticker sheet that was in line with the brand's overall visual identity. It featured a variety of eye-catching designs and graphics that were carefully curated to capture the essence of the brand's essence. It's worth noting that the Copacabana illustration, which was incorporated into the sticker sheet, was designed by one of Sol's talented in-house designers.

Ecommerce Package Insert—I created a package insert that included an incentive to rave/review products on social for a free gift with a future purchase.

Sol’s Instagram is the most popular among all social channels and I was inspired to create a “mock” Instagram post that plays with the idea of social sharing and “♡” a product.

Swag Bag Package Insert—Sol de Janeiro was a sponsor for the Chelsea Film Festival. I designed the package insert that was included in the product swag bags.

Sephora Pitch Deck

I designed a Sephora pitch deck with the goal of introducing Sol de Janeiro to a new market in a way that was both strategic and visually compelling. The challenge was transforming dense business information into a presentation that felt clear, engaging, and true to the brand’s vibrant personality.

I built a layout system that balanced Sol de Janeiro’s playful identity with a polished, professional tone — combining curated graphics, bold photography, and concise bullet points that distilled complex information into digestible takeaways. To strengthen the narrative, I collaborated with the team on mock-ups of future products tailored to Sephora’s audience, ensuring the visuals spoke directly to their customers.

The result was a cohesive, impactful presentation that highlighted Sol de Janeiro’s unique aesthetic while positioning the brand as a strong partner for Sephora.

Product photoshoot pitch deck

For the launch of a new product, I curated a moodboard pitch deck that defined the desired aesthetic and creative direction. Drawing on extensive research and editorial photography, I developed three distinct photoshoot concepts that showcased different visual approaches. Working collaboratively with the team, we evaluated each direction and selected the concept that best aligned with the brand and campaign goals.

Brand rep program pitch deck

I designed an internal pitch deck for a brand rep program aimed at building a stronger community around Sol de Janeiro. The deck highlighted the brand’s core values, showcased how they could be expressed through ambassador content, and outlined the types of influencer-generated posts we envisioned. To support the program, I also developed logo concepts for potential rep apparel, ensuring the visual identity extended seamlessly into branded merchandise.

Through a mix of concepting, systems design, and hands-on creative, I helped Sol de Janeiro expand its visual storytelling — from Sephora investor decks to tactile print packaging and apparel concepts. These projects strengthened the brand’s identity across multiple touchpoints, proving how thoughtful design can unify playful personality with business impact.
